Get a trading licence (Kampala)

Get a KCCA trading licence. The grade depends on where you trade, the price on what you sell.

Apply for a KCCA trading licence for your business premises. The licence grade (I–IV) is determined by WHERE your business is. You never pick it. And the government fee follows your nature of business and that grade. Our team handles the whole application. Government fees are all included in one all-in price. You'll need your certificate of incorporation (or business-name registration), your TIN, and proof of tenancy. The licence is valid 12 months from issue and the certificate carries a QR code; inspection happens after issuance, at the premises.

What KCCA charges

A KCCA trading licence is priced by WHERE your premises are (the grade of the business area, I–IV) and by your nature of business — you never choose the grade. Fees run from tens of thousands of shillings for small trades in the lowest grade to millions for banks and telecoms in the highest.
