Apply and pay online.
Give fingerprints at an enrolment mission: London, Washington DC, Abu Dhabi, Pretoria, Ottawa, Copenhagen, Beijing.
You get an SMS when it is ready.

Ordinary: UGX 250,000. Express: UGX 150,000 more. Lost or damaged: UGX 100,000 fine.

Immigration (DCIC), at the missions

A one-way document home when you have no valid passport.
Bring your national ID, two photos, a letter from your area LC and your itinerary. A police report if your passport was lost.

UGX 40,000, or the mission's local fee.

Pre-register online, then visit a mission that registers. Not all do: ask yours first.
