Data protection
How we protect your information, and your rights under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
What we collect
What you type or say to the assistant, the details you enter in an application, and basic information about your visit and device, used for security and to count visits. If you sign in, your name and email address.
What we use it for
To answer you, to run the services you start, and to keep UGGov working, secure and improving. We do not sell your data. We share it only with the agency handling your application, with providers that run parts of the service for us under agreement, with Google Analytics to count visits (it never receives what you type), and when the law requires it.
Your rights
- See the personal data we hold about you.
- Have data that is wrong corrected.
- Have your data deleted, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Object to a particular use of your data.
How to use your rights
Call or email us and say what you want us to do. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
If you are not satisfied
You can complain to the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO), the government office that enforces the Act.
