Get a learner licence

Get a learner driving licence — step 1 of your driving permit.

Apply for a learner driving licence with the Uganda Driver Licensing System (UDLS) — step 1 of getting a driving permit. Pick your permit class and show your driving-school enrollment and a medical report (valid 6 months, paid at the clinic). A government fee applies, priced by class; our team handles the whole application — government fee included — for one all-in price. The learner licence is valid 3 months — pass your IOV test within that window to get the full permit.

A learner permit for motorcycle classes costs UGX 40,000 following the August 2024 revision.
