Functions of the Uganda Police Force

This is the official English text as consolidated on 31 December 2023. The English text is the law.

The functions of the Uganda Police Force shall include the following—

(a)

to protect life and property;

(b)

to preserve law and order;

(c)

to prevent and detect crime; and

(d)

to cooperate with the civilian authority and other security organs established under this Constitution and with the population generally.
